Akshaya Tritiya, also known as Akha Teej, is being celebrated across India today. Considered one of the most auspicious days in the Hindu calendar, many people invest in gold on this occasion, believing it brings prosperity and good fortune.

However, with gold prices nearing Rs 1 lakh for 10 grams, buying gold is becoming a luxury. But what if you could get 24K gold at a steep discount?

According to a Redditor, that’s exactly what they did — buying 24K gold for just Rs 9,007 per gram!

The user claims they secured this deal through Swiggy—but there’s a catch. You’ll need to have the Swiggy HDFC Bank credit card to access this offer.

“As some of you may already know, the Swiggy HDFC credit card gives 10% cashback on anything purchased through the Swiggy app — and that includes 24K gold coins, which are back on the menu! Enjoy,” the Redditor shared.

Anoter redditor user however claimed that the deal is not available now. "Looks like they took out all the gold coin listings or maybe my account is unlucky. sad noises," said the person.

Another person said the deal is not available on jewellery. "Bro jewelry is excluded means if you buy it from a jeweller or some site which exclusively seels jewelry and have mcc code for that. When you buy from swiggy, its not counted as buying jewelry but comes under the mxc code which swiggy operates. Moreover people here saying they have got the cashback already, and while transacting even the app says so (sic)," he said.

Another person also said the same, "You wouldn't get cashback if you're using your Swiggy card at Tanshiq or other jewelry brands but you will get flat 10% cashback upto Rs 1,500 if you buy gold coin from Swiggy Instamart."

Another Reddit user, however, claimed that the deal is no longer available. "Looks like they took out all the gold coin listings, or maybe my account is just unlucky. Sad noises," the person wrote.

Another user pointed out that the deal doesn't apply to jewellery purchases. "Bro, jewellery is excluded—meaning if you buy it from a jeweller or a site that exclusively sells jewellery and has the corresponding MCC code, you won't get the cashback. But when you buy from Swiggy, it's not counted as a jewellery purchase. It falls under the MCC code that Swiggy operates with. Also, people here have already received their cashback, and even the app confirms it during the transaction," he explained.
