2026 Volkswagen Taigun Facelift: Expected price, launch date, colours and other key deatils

Volkswagen is gearing up to launch the first facelift of its mid-size SUV, the Taigun, in India since its debut in 2021. Since the SUV shares its platform, engine options, and much of its technology with the Skoda Kushaq, it is expected that the upcoming 2026 Taigun facelift will borrow several updates from the recently refreshed Kushaq.

The Volkswagen Taigun has one of the most timeless designs in its competition. It's hard to believe that it is five years old now, and so it does need an updated styling, which will be brought with this facelift.

Expected Exterior Design Updates

The facelifted Taigun is likely to receive noticeable cosmetic revisions at the front. It may feature a slimmer and redesigned grille along with LED projector headlamps. Connected DRLs and a revised bumper with larger air dams are also expected to enhance its road presence.


At the back, the SUV could sport a refreshed bumper design and newly styled LED taillights, giving it a sharper and more modern appearance.

From the side, the overall silhouette is expected to remain largely unchanged. The upright SUV stance, body cladding, and roof rails are likely to be retained. However, Volkswagen may introduce a new design for the 17-inch alloy wheels to add freshness to the profile.

New Colour Options

Staying tough in the game does not only come with modern features and exciting drivability, but the colour options should also be appealing. To attract younger buyers, Volkswagen is expected to introduce a few new paint schemes with the facelifted model.

Expected Price and Launch Timeline

The Volkswagen Taigun is currently priced from Rs. 11.4 lakh (ex-showroom). Taking reference from this, the 2026 facelifted model is expected to be priced from Rs. 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
