Triumph Motorcycles India has launched the Thruxton 400, expanding its 400 cc platform lineup. Simultaneously, the company has increased the price of the 2025 Speed 400 by ₹4,177, now retailing at ₹2,50,551 (ex-showroom). The Thruxton 400, priced ...

The revised price does not come with any feature upgrades. The Speed 400 retains its original design, colour options—Racing Yellow, Pearl Metallic White, Phantom Black, and Racing Red—and continues with the same mechanical setup, including adjustable brake and clutch levers. It is powered by a 398 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 39 hp at 8,000 rpm and 37 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, mated to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch.
With these specs, the Speed 400 continues to compete with rivals like the Harley-Davidson X440, KTM 390 Duke, and others in the segment.
Meanwhile, the newly launched Triumph Thruxton 400 is priced at ₹2.74 lakh (ex-showroom). Though it shares the same engine as the Speed 400, it has been tuned differently, delivering 42 hp and 37 Nm of torque. This makes the Thruxton 400 the fifth offering on the 400 cc platform, following the Speed 400, Speed T4, Scrambler 400 X, and Scrambler 400 XC.
The Thruxton 400 features distinctive café racer styling, including a semi-fairing, clip-on handlebars with bar-end mirrors, and adjustments to the rider triangle for a more sporty and committed riding posture.
