2023 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Sport Pro variant launch in India: All you need to know

The latest addition to BMW India's line-up of entry-level sedans, the 2 Series Gran Coupe, is the M Sport Pro variant, which comes with a turbo petrol engine and is priced at Rs 45.50 lakh, ex-showroom. Positioned between the 220i M Sport and 220d M Sport trims, the M Sport Pro is priced around ?2 lakh more than the former but is priced similarly to the latter.

The BMW 220i M Sport Pro, which is the premium petrol variant, offers a plethora of new features to the model. These upgrades include a head-up display, BMW gesture control, and a powerful 10-speaker sound system with 205 watts. The interior design also received an upgrade.

BMW claims that the petrol variant of the 2 Series Gran Coupe has an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency rating of 14.82 kmpl, whereas the diesel version returns 18.64 kmpl on the compact luxury sedan.


BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Sport Pro is equipped with a reliable 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that has been fine-tuned to produce 189 bhp and 280 Nm of peak torque. This engine is coupled with a 7-speed Steptronic dual-clutch transmission that directs power to the front wheels. Advanced features, such as launch control and a shift-by-wire gear selector are also incorporated in the model, further elevating its performance capabilities.

Aside from the new additions, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Sport Pro also includes standard features found on the entry-level version - a 10.25-inch digital console, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with BMW OS 7.0, 3D navigation, wireless charging, etc.

The car is also equipped with numerous safety features, such as six airbags, three-point seatbelts for all passengers, ABS with CBC, DSC, traction control, ISOFIX child seat anchor mounts, TPMS, and more. Moreover, the model sits on 17-inch alloy wheels, adding to its sporty and stylish appearance.
