15 years on, Yuvraj Singh watches those six sixes with his son

It was 15 years ago to the day. Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh hit six sixes in an over of England quick bowler Stuart Broad on September 19, 2007 during the inaugural ICC T20 World Cup.

Over the years many cricket fans across the world have watched that extraordinary sporting feat over and over again on social media platforms to enjoy Yuvraj's awesome, and mostly effortless, hitting.

On Monday, Yuvraj himself watched the video to relive those moments of sporting glory - in the company of his little son Orion.


“Couldn’t have found a better partner to watch this together with after 15 years �� ��” Yuvraj Singh captioned the video posted on his Instagram.

Among those who responded to his post was his former team mate Irfan Pathan, who commented, “little one is keeping an eye on your technique. Focused ;)”

Many of those who watched the video would remember almost all the six sixes by heart. It was the 19th over of the Indian innings, and Yuvraj who was earlier in an argument with Andrew Flintoff was in an angry mood. The young Stuart Broad came on to bowl.

The first one was tonked over deep midwicket; the second one was dismissingly flicked over deep backward square leg; the third was lifted over long off; the fourth, a full toss, was helped over the deep point boundary; the fifth, he went down on one knee and swatted over deep square leg; and the last one disappeared in the skies over long on.

Surely, if little Orion takes to cricket when he grows up he would be watching them again and again.
