12th Man Review: An exciting and mysterious storyline
You cannot call it a perfect movie, but it is pretty entertaining from the beginning to the end, thanks to its recognizable characters.

12th Man: A thriller genre
The movie is 2 hours and 43 minutes long, which is quite long these days. However, the filmmaker has made it a point to maintain the audience's faith in his abilities. He certainly builds a delectable, exhilarating plot that keeps us engaged as he peels away the characters' lies and distortions.
The bachelor celebration of the last man standing among them takes eleven mates to a resort. The group consists of college mates, their spouses, and the bride-to-be. They meet the resort's lone guest (Mohanlal), an intoxicated nuisance whom they manage to get rid of as they begin their enjoyable day with a game of cricket. The buddies decide to play a 'game' at dinner, motivated by their frustration with one of the guys always stepping away to talk on the phone. Everyone now has to answer calls and messages in front of the entire group.
Jeethu Joseph returns with his favorite genre in this movie, which is a thriller. Still, the script, written by K.R. Krishnakumar and based on Sunir Khetarpal's novel, reminds us of various detective works by Agatha Christie. The isolated environment cut off from the outside world and the scenario in which one member of the group dies, making the rest suspects, are all classic elements of this.
12th Man is a must watch
The film 12th Man is well worth watching and will appeal to a broader audience than just Malayalis. 12th Man is distinguishable from Drishyam 2; Jeethu Joseph has adopted a more delicate approach. The developments are more reasonable than in the previous film, but this works very well and keeps one more attached to the tale because it works out in a more realistic approach. All actors have created an impression on-screen and have performed admirably in their roles. Anil Johnson's music fits the mood well; he has done an excellent job of keeping the sounds soft rather than trying any gimmickry to heighten the sense of mystery. However, the English songs sound weird to the ears.
