Rajkot girl's kidnapping story turns out to be a homework escape plan
A ten-year-old girl from Rajkot, Gujarat, prompted an extensive police search operation after claiming she was kidnapped in an SUV while en route to her tuition class. She and her father approached the Pradhyuman Nagar police station on Friday morning with this alarming tale.

In response, the city police initiated a massive search operation, blocking roads and deploying teams of officers, including senior IPS officials. However, it was soon discovered that the girl had concocted the entire kidnapping story as a means to evade her tuition class since she hadn't completed her homework and wanted to avoid the consequences.

According to the girl's account, as she walked from her home in the Popatpara area to her tuition class, an SUV pulled up beside her, and she was coerced into getting inside. The car proceeded to pick up another girl along the way, but this girl was later released under a railway bridge, and the car continued towards the railway station.

Upon hearing the girl's account, Pradhyuman Nagar police immediately alerted the city control room, notifying all police stations and patrol vans. The crime branch and special operation group also joined the efforts, examining CCTV footage to corroborate the story.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Sudhirkumar Desai stated that the police reached the crime spot and surfed all the CCTV to know exactly what had happened. The girl is seen walking on CCTV, but nothing was found as she narrated.

It turns out the girl frequently resisted going to tuition, and her mother would often scold her to motivate her to attend her classes. This time, it appears that her imagination concocted a story to avoid going altogether. The police investigation, including the girl's confession, confirmed that her claims of a kidnapping were entirely untrue.
