In an unfortunate incident, a one-and-a-half-year-old boy met an untimely demise under mysterious circumstances in Madhya Pradesh's Dewas on Monday, according to a report of Times of India.

According to authorities, the young child, named Raj, experienced suffocation after being administered tea on the preceding Sunday.

As per the report, the child was at the residence of his maternal grandfather in Simrol, as his father is currently in jail. Quoting Simrol police station in charge Mansaram Baghel, the report said that the boy ceased breathing after consuming the tea.


The boy was then urgently transported to Chacha Nehru Hospital in Indore, situated 22 km away. However, despite their efforts, the medical team at the state-run hospital pronounced the child deceased upon arrival.

On the tragic deatch of the child, hospital superintendent Dr. Preeti Malpani stated, "Given that the boy was brought in already deceased, we are unable to provide insights into the cause of death."

The circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking incident have ignited concern and speculation within the community. As local authorities continue to investigate, the peculiar details of the case prompt a search for answers and an understanding of the events that led to the young child's tragic passing.

This unusual choice of beverage for an infant has also raised questions among the local authorities and community members.

Tea with cardamom improves digestion and relieves tummy aches.
