Lipi Rastogi, a 27-year-old law student and daughter of senior IAS officers Radhika and Vikas Rastogi, died after jumping from the 10th floor of a high-rise building near the Mantralaya in south Mumbai early Monday morning. The incident occurred around 4 am. Lipi was taken to GT Hospital immediately but was declared dead upon arrival.

Anxiety Over Exams
Lipi was pursuing an LLB course in Sonepat, Haryana. According to police officials, she was anxious about her academic performance. A suicide note was found in her room, in which she stated that no one should be blamed for her death.

Family Background
Lipi's parents are prominent bureaucrats in Maharashtra. Her father, Vikas Rastogi, is the Principal Secretary in the Higher and Technical Education Department, and her mother, Radhika Rastogi, is also a senior IAS officer serving in the state government. The incident highlights the pressures faced by students, even those from well-established families.

Similar Past Incident
This tragedy echoes a similar incident in 2017 when the son of Maharashtra cadre IAS officers Milind and Manisha Mhaiskar died after jumping from a high-rise in Mumbai. These incidents underline the need for better mental health support for students.
