Mumbai police has registered a case after a customer complained of finding a chopped finger in an ice cream he had ordered online through an app. Police have seized the severed finger and has sent it for forensic. A case has been registered.
Serrao’s sister promptly reported the incident to the police. Initial investigations confirmed that the object found in the ice cream was indeed a human finger. The police have sent the finger for a detailed forensic examination to understand more about its origin.
Police Investigation Underway
The police are taking the matter seriously and have initiated a thorough investigation. They plan to inspect the place where the ice cream was manufactured and packed. “We have taken it up seriously,” a police official said, indicating the gravity of the situation."The complainant in the case, a 26-year-old doctor with MBBS degree who stays in Malad west, had ordered a butterscotch ice-cream cone of Yummo company. While consuming the ice-cream after lunch, he came across a half an inch long piece of flesh with a nail in the ice cream," the police told PTI. "The piece of flesh, suspected to be a piece of human finger, has been sent for forensic examination to ascertain whether it is a part of the human body," the official said.
