Yorkshire Wildlife Park to remain close today
The Yorkshire Wildlife Park will remain close for the rest of the weekend as it is "working closely with the authorities to ascertain exactly what happened"."We can confirm that a serious incident has occurred on Saturday at the tiger enclosure. Our emergency response procedures were immediately activated, and emergency services are currently attending the scene. The park will be closed today whilst we are working closely with the authorities to ascertain exactly what happened. The safety and wellbeing of our visitors, staff and animals remain our highest priority," the Yorkshire Wildlife Park said in its official statement published on its website.

Foreign Secretary and MP for Doncaster North Ed Miliband said he was "deeply saddened" to hear of the incident and sent his "thoughts and deepest condolences to the family of the individual who died." He added he was "very grateful to the emergency services and staff of the park who responded."
Yorkshire Wildlife Park said in a statement: "Our thoughts and heartfelt sympathies are with the family and loved ones of the person who has lost their life."
