'Working to set up Putin-Zelenskyy talks': Vance reveals plan to bring Russia-Ukraine to the table

U.S. Vice President JD Vance said the United States was working to schedule talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. In a Fox News interview on Sunday (August 10), he said he did not think it would be productive for Putin to sit down with Zelenskiy before meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump. Vance also added that his administration was hoping to reach a negotiated settlement between Russia and Ukraine, but warned that both sides would probably be unhappy with the outcome. Addressing the possibility of sanctioning China over purchasing Russian oil, Vance noted that Trump was still reviewing his options and had yet to make a decision.
