'Won't vote for you because you're an Indian', says US Ann Coulter to Vivek Ramaswamy
Ann Coulter, in a podcast with Indian-American Republican leader Vivek Ramaswamy, stated she wouldn't have voted for him in the US presidential election because of his ethnicity. Ramaswamy, respectful of her honesty, disagreed with her stance. Des...

The conversation unfolded as Coulter took swipes at Ramaswamy, who had attempted a presidential run before eventually supporting Donald Trump's candidacy. Coulter praised Ramaswamy's intelligence and articulacy but reiterated her decision not to support him due to his Indian ethnicity.
"Ann Coulter told me flat-out to my face that she couldn't vote for me 'because you're an Indian,' even though she agreed with me more than most other candidates. I disagree with her but respect she had the guts to speak her mind," said Ramaswamy in a post on X.
Coulter's comment, specifically her use of the term "articulate" in reference to Ramaswamy, drew attention online. Some defended Coulter's comments, while others criticized them as discriminatory. Ramaswamy's presidential bid saw initial support from Donald Trump, who refrained from criticizing him due to Ramaswamy's staunch defense of the former president.
In response to the podcast, reactions poured in from various quarters. While some condemned Coulter's stance as "Indophobic" and "bigoted," others supported her, citing Ramaswamy's advocacy for Indian immigrant accessibility in the US.
"I called Donald Trump to tell him I congratulate him on his victory. Now, going forward, he will have my full endorsement for the presidency. And I think we’re going to do the right thing for this country. And so I’m going to ask you, to follow me in taking our America First movement to the next level,” Ramaswamy had said.
