GENEVA - The director-general of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said on ‌Tuesday that ⁠the ⁠Ebola outbreak in eastern Congo remains a global emergency.

The U.N. health agency ​first declared ⁠the rare ‌Bundibugyo outbreak ​a ​public health ⁠emergency of international concern, or PHEIC, ​on May 17.

"Updated ​recommendations to the government of DRC and other countries ‌at risk will be ​issued ​in ⁠the coming days," Tedros said on X.
