‘Who pays if AI agent goes rogue?': Hawley presses experts overAI cyberattacks & accountability gap

Sen. Josh Hawley is pressing for greater accountability as concerns grow over AI-powered surveillance, cyberattacks and the use of technology by major corporations. During a congressional hearing, Hawley questioned Georgetown Law professor Paul Ohm about who could be held responsible for AI-related cyberattacks under current law. When Hawley asked whether it was difficult to hold anyone accountable, Ohm agreed.
