‘We have substantial evidence’: China blames America for COVID origin amid trade war tensions
China has accused the United States of trying to shift blame for the origins of COVID-19 onto Beijing. In a new white paper, Beijing claimed that there's substantial evidence COVID-19 may have emerged in the U.S. before it was officially detected. Beijing also rejected the lab leak theory, calling it 'extremely unlikely,' and accused the U.S. of politicising the pandemic.
