‘We don’t back down to bullies!': Minneapolis Mayor Frey calls for end to ‘unlawful’ ICE operations
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey addressed the 94th Winter Meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors in Washington, D.C., calling on the federal government to end ‘unlawful ICE operations’ in his city. Frey pushed back on the federal immigration enforcement surge known as 'Operation Metro Surge' and appealing to mayors and lawmakers from across the country on how cities can work together to keep communities safe while upholding the rule of law.
