'Use trade to settle global issues...': Donald Trump on Thailand-Cambodia conflicts

US President Donald Trump stated, "We engage in a significant amount of trade with Thailand and Cambodia. However, I've been reading reports about their ongoing conflict. I believe this should be an easy situation for me to address, as I successfully mediated between India and Pakistan in the past. I called the Prime Ministers of both Thailand and Cambodia and informed them that we wouldn't proceed with a trade deal unless they resolved their dispute. By the time our call ended, it seemed like they were eager to find a solution. India and Pakistan were on the brink of a serious conflict, so if I can use trade to help settle these issues, it would be my honor."
