US withdraws B-1 bombers from UK base after RAF Fairford terror attack probe
The United States removed its B-1 bombers from a UK air base one week after several men were arrested on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts, a Pentagon official said on Sunday (October 4). A dozen B-1 bombers had been stationed at RAF Fairford, northwest of London. The aircraft were used in U.S. strikes on Iran.
