US, South Korea join hands to boost warship production amid China threat
America’s largest military shipbuilder, HII, has signed an MoU with South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries to boost US shipbuilding capacity amid rising competition with China. The partnership aims to accelerate warship production, including advanced Aegis destroyers, and strengthen bilateral defense ties. The deal was inked at the Sea Air Space 2025 expo.
