US presidential election 2020: Here's what to know about the Electoral College
The 2020 presidential election will surely be a vote unlike the U.S. has ever seen before, in part because of the coronavirus pandemic. But political experts say there is a framework in place to make sure all people are represented - the electoral college. In 2016, Donald Trump won the presidency because he won the Electoral College, even though Hillary Clinton won the popular vote.
