US presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy in search of nanny; to pay annual salary over $100,000

Indian American Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy is allegedly looking for a nanny at an annual salary of $100,000 or more, that is approximately Rs 83 lakhs, for his two young sons, according to a report by Business Insider.

The Presidential candidate has listed the need for a nanny on a specialized website, EstateJobs which caters to the hyperwealthy. EstateJobs lists jobs posted by wealthy patrons who are looking to butlers, private chefs, chauffeurs, and other household staff.

However, it is still a speculation if the job positing for a nanny was by Ramaswamy.


As per the Insider report, while the ad does not explicitly mention the client's name, several details strongly suggest the Ramaswamy family. The listed zip code matches Ramaswamy's voter registration address in Columbus, Ohio. The ages of the children align with those of Ramaswamy's sons. Additionally, the ad specifies that the nanny must prepare vegetarian meals for the children, a dietary preference known to be true for Ramaswamy.

According to the ad, the family travels frequently, primarily by private jet, with Ramaswamy's wife and sons often accompanying him on his campaign trail, which includes visits to Iowa and New Hampshire.

The advertisement highlights the family's high-profile status, and an investigation by Insider narrowed down the potential candidates based on the zip code's affluent residents. Of the 91 homes sold for over $1 million in the past decade, only Ramaswamy had a significant public profile.

As per the report, the job listing mysteriously vanished from EstateJobs.com shortly after Insider informed the campaign that they would be publishing the story.


"Curiosity, adventure, and constant motion define the family's lifestyle," the job ad said, according to Business Insider.

"This is an exceptional opportunity to join a high-profile family, contributing to the growth and development of their children while participating in unique family adventures," the ad further said about the job requirements.

In the job ad posted for a nanny, the candidates must be willing to work for 84-96 hours per week. There will be seven days on and seven days off. The candidate needs to coordinate with "a dedicated team including a chef, nannies, a housekeeper, and private security" and set up "a seamless daily routine for the children," who are said to be "gifted."

Additionally, the nanny would be selected and also expected to "curate" their "play areas, toys, and clothing to foster a stimulating and organized environment." The ad further states that the family travels almost every week. “Weekly family travels, often via private flights, are a regular occurrence,” reads the listing,suggesting that the nanny may have to travel with them.

Despite the long job listing and the astonishing salary, Business Insider has reported that the client's name was not listed.

The news portal, however, "used the county assessor's database to identify the owner of every home in the zip code that sold for more than $1 million in the past 10 years." This led them towards believing that the listing came from the Ramaswamy family.
