'US Is Stuck In 1950 Ideology': Jeffrey Sachs slams US, Europe over global hegemony
American economist and foreign policy expert Jeffrey Sachs criticised the US and Europe over what he described as their continued belief in Western dominance. Speaking at the World Symposium in Varanasi, Sachs said the US remained stuck in a 1950s ideology and accused it of trying to maintain global hegemony. He also criticised Europe's approach to global conflicts. Predicting a major global power shift by 2100, Sachs said India would have twice China's population and become the world's largest economy by the end of the century.
