Former President Donald Trump reiterated his unfounded claims about Haitian immigrants during a rally in Arizona. On Thursday, Trump expanded his earlier conspiracy theories, now alleging that immigrants are stealing and consuming pets and added geese to his claims.

“Haitian immigrants have descended upon Springfield, Ohio, and are destroying their way of life,” Trump told the crowd. “A recording of 911 calls shows residents reporting that the migrants are walking off with the town’s geese. They’re taking the geese. You know where the geese are? In the park, in the lake. And even walking off with their pets.”

In reality, Springfield faced a disruption due to a bomb threat at City Hall, causing early school closures and evacuations. The local Haitian community has reported property damage and safety concerns. These issues are unrelated to Trump's claims, according to The Haitian Times.

A local Springfield CEO recently commended Haitian immigrants as hard-working and reliable. The story about geese is based on a single 911 call and has been discredited.

During the rally, Trump also incorrectly claimed that Vice President Kamala Harris’s events draw "zero" attendees, even though she spoke to about 17,000 people in North Carolina’s Greensboro Coliseum, according to her campaign.

Trump additionally discussed voter demographics, suggesting he might blame older voters if he loses the election. He remarked, “My audiences, they’ve gotten younger and younger. Don’t worry, I still like the old people the best. I don’t care!” He assured his loyalty to his longtime supporters despite changes in crowd make-up.
