Several media organizations, including Reuters, had earlier reported the service restart based on the statement from the airline's PR agency. Its flights to Tel Aviv will remain suspended until conditions allow them to resume, the company said.
The airline was one of several to suspend or scale back flights to or from Tel Aviv after a surprise attack by Hamas on Oct. 7 raised safety concerns amid rising tensions in the Middle East.
U.S. airlines usually run direct services from major cities including New York, Chicago, Washington, and Miami. Among the three U.S. carriers, United has the biggest exposure.
Shares of United Airlines were down 0.6% in morning trading.
