UN General Assembly to hold informal consultations on International Day of Yoga
The scheduling of discussions at the UN on Yoga comes in just a little over two weeks after Modi had asked the world leaders to adopt an International Yoga Day.

According to information on the UN website, two-hour long informal consultations on the draft resolution entitled 'International Day of Yoga' have been convened by the Permanent Mission of India on October 14.

He had said that by changing lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help us deal with climate change.
"Let us work towards adopting an International Yoga Day," Modi had said. "Yoga embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well being."
Yoga is the 5,000-year-old Indian physical, mental and spiritual practice that aim to transform body and mind.
