Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy pushes for fuller NATO embrace, more arms

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has deplored NATO's failure to embrace his country and asked the alliance for more weapons.

Zelenskyy addressed a NATO summit by video link on Wednesday.

He warned the leaders gathered that they either had to provide Ukraine with the help it needed to defeat Russia or "face a delayed war between Russia and yourself."


He asked for more modern artillery systems.

He also bemoaned that NATO has not more fully embraced Ukraine.

He asked: "Hasn't our contribution to defending Europe and the entire civilization been insufficient? What else is necessary?"
