Two Tamil youths were killed at Myanmar’s Tamu town on Tuesday

A senior police official who does not want to be named told ET, “The duo has travelled to Tamu and were stalked by two motorcycle-borne youths. They were shot dead.”

Two Tamil youths were killed at Myanmar’s Tamu town on Tuesday.

A senior police official who does not want to be named told ET, “The duo has travelled to Tamu and were stalked by two motorcycle-borne youths. They were shot dead.”

The deceased are identified as P. Mohan (28) and M. Pyanar (32).


In Namphalong and Tamu recently there were reports of exchange of fire between the army and pro-democracy organisations.

The military seized power on February 1 last year, detaining the country's elected leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, and members of her government. A one-year state of emergency has been declared in Myanmar where power is assumed by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
