Tsunami waves hit Brazil's Rio de Janeiro after huge quake off Russia

Huge waves hit Rio de Janeiro’s coastline in Brazil on Wednesday (July 30) due to a storm surge. According to local media, the waves reached heights of up to 3.7 meters (12.14 feet), prompting authorities to close nearby avenues. Local bartender Patrick da Rocha said the sea pulled down chairs and tables at the beach bar where he works. No injuries were reported.
