Trump warns Houthis over attacks on Saudi Arabia, says he will ‘never forget’

“Somebody should explain to them that I’m not running in the Elections, I’ve already won, IN A MASSIVE LANDSLIDE, but I’ll be there after the Elections, and I will never forget!” Trump said.
Describing Iran as a “failing nation”, he accused Tehran of potentially backing the Houthis’ latest actions. Trump also alleged that the attacks were aimed at pushing up oil prices ahead of the US elections.
He added that he had expected the Houthis to have “learned their lesson” after the US military campaign last year, which he said had ended at their request.
Trump's latest warnings comes after Houthis launched a series of attacks on Saudi Arabia, including strikes on Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport that have killed at least 13 people, wounded more than 300 and forced the closure of the airport.
Earlier on Tuesday, the US president told reporters he "might" ask Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan to intervene in support of Saudi interests. "President Erdogan, I think, would do as I ask," Trump said.
The renewed attacks have raised concerns about disruptions to global oil supplies and shipping routes in the Gulf, threatening to push energy prices higher.
