‘Trump truly wants results but Europe…’: Lavrov hails US Prez, blasts EU on Ukraine peace 'sabotage'
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov praised US President Donald Trump after the recent Alaska summit with Vladimir Putin, saying Trump and his team sincerely want to achieve long-term peace in Ukraine. Lavrov described the meeting’s atmosphere as 'very good,' contrasting Washington’s constructive approach with Europe’s stance. Lavrov said that European leaders only pushed for a cease-fire while planning to continue supplying weapons to Kyiv.
