US Election 2024: Trump supporter and billionaire Peter Thiel warns of a major political collapse
US Election 2024: Peter Thiel, a right-wing tech billionaire, predicts that the 2024 election between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris won't be close. He believes either side will collapse in the next two months. Thiel, who is pro-Trump, has decided...

Thiel, known for his support of Trump, stated, "My one contrarian view on the election is that it's not going to be close. You know, most presidential elections aren't." He noted that the previous two elections in 2016 and 2020 were unusually tight races, but suggested that two-thirds of elections typically are not.
He speculated that either the "Kamala bubble will burst" or Trump's voters might become demotivated, leading one side to collapse before the election. "One side is simply going to collapse in the next two months," Thiel added.
Having previously spent money on Trump's 2016 campaign and several Senate races, Thiel has decided to step back from financial involvement in politics. Nevertheless, he remains supportive of Trump and JD Vance, saying, "I am still very strongly pro-Trump, pro-JD. I've decided not to donate any money politically, but I'm supporting them in every other way possible."
Thiel expressed skepticism about the impact of political spending, especially in a landslide election, and claimed that if the election is close, Harris' campaign and Democrats might "cheat" through ballot harvesting and election rule changes.
The Harris campaign did not respond to a request for comment. Thiel suggested that U.S. elections should have only one day of voting, minimal absentee ballots, and stricter voter ID laws.
