Trump suggests renaming Strait of Hormuz ‘Trump Strait’ as Iran conflict escalates
US President Donald Trump has suggested renaming the Strait of Hormuz as “Trump Strait” as the conflict with Iran enters its sixth month and attacks across the Middle East intensify, reported Reuters.
The United States launched a new wave of attacks on Iran late Tuesday, prompting Tehran to fire missiles at what it described as US assets in Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait and Iraq.
Iran has repeatedly targeted neighbouring countries in response to US strikes and has threatened retaliation against countries supporting Washington's efforts to squeeze its economy with "earthquake" force.
