At least six people are feared dead, and nine others have been injured after a tourist submarine sank near the Egyptian Red Sea city of Hurghada on Thursday.

The incident involved the Sindbad submarine, which was operating with around 40 passengers on board at the time. of the incident.

While 29 people were rescued, four of the injured are reported to be in critical condition and were taken to nearby hospitals.


The submarine sank close to the harbour, and the vessel had been in operation for several years.
