The militants belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij targeted a cricket ground in the Mamond area of Bajaur district using a quadcopter device (drone).
Fitna al-Khawarij is a term the state uses to refer to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The attack occurred while a match was underway, resulting in injuries to three children.
The injured were shifted for medical treatment, while panic spread among players and spectators present at the ground.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner of Bajaur stated that during March and April, mortar shells were also fired in the Mamond and Salarzai areas.
He added that alleged cross-border firing by the Afghan Taliban in Bajaur resulted in the killing of three women and six children.
Pakistan's security forces are responding effectively to both Fitna al-Khawarij and Afghan Taliban, taking necessary measures to ensure the protection of civilians and maintain stability in the region.
