U.S. President Donald Trump has filed a massive lawsuit against the BBC, UK public broadcaster, seeking up to ten billion dollars in damages over edited clips of his January 6, 2021 speech. The lawsuit accuses the BBC of defamation, claiming the broadcaster spliced together separate parts of Trump’s speech in a way that falsely suggested he urged supporters to storm the U.S. Capitol.
