‘There is no reason to wait until May 8’, says Zelenskyy, demands immediate ceasefire

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy demanded an immediate, unconditional 30-day ceasefire, rejecting Russia’s plan to delay until May 8 for its parade. Zelenskyy said Ukraine had agreed to a US-proposed ceasefire, but Russia rejected all offers and continued attacks on civilians, including a Shahed drone strike in Cherkasy. He urged stronger international pressure on Moscow and highlighted progress in Ukraine’s economic partnership with the United States.
