Syria’s new President: HTS’ Jolani takes reigns after Assad ouster, abolishes Syrian Constitution
HTS leader Ahmed al-Sharaa, formerly known as Abu Mohammad al-Jolani has taken charge as Syria’s interim President after long-time President Bashar al-Assad was ousted in December. He also abolished the Syrian constitution and dissolved the country’s Parliament, as well as Assad’s Baath Party
