NEW DELHI: The Sheikh Hasina government in a singnficant move is trying to bring back huge amount of money belonging to Bangladeshis and now lying with the Swiss Bank.

The Bangladesh government has already started process to get back the money to the country. Bangladesh Finance Minister AHM Mostafa Kamal told reporters that a discussion between the two countries has been launched on the issue.
“Bangladeshi-born multibillionaire Dr. Moosa bin Shamsher has alone Tk. 96,000 crore deposited with the bank. Bangladesh would be benefitted if we can get back the money," Kamal said.


Dr. Moosa has been at the receiving end of ISI after he foiled ISI’s plan to assassinate Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina last year before the elections.

He had in the past played a key role in arranging Bangladeshi workforce in foreign countries.
