Senior Hamas official says group withdrawing from Gaza truce talks
A senior Hamas official announced on Sunday that the group is withdrawing from ceasefire talks in the Gaza war. The decision comes in response to what Hamas describes as Israeli "massacres" and an uncooperative attitude during negotiations.

The senior official said Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh had told international mediators of the "decision to halt negotiations due to the occupation's (Israel) lack of seriousness, continued policy of procrastination and obstruction, and the ongoing massacres against unarmed civilians."
