Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem blamed sanctuary city policies following the shooting of a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer during an attempted robbery in New York City’s Riverside Park. The officer was reportedly shot in the face and forearm by a suspect identified as Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez, an undocumented immigrant. Noem revealed that a second undocumented immigrant had been arrested in connection with the incident, which took place over the weekend.
