Authorities in Saudi Arabia shifted schools in Riyadh to remote learning for week, accoring to emails sent to parents accessed by AFP.
The announcement comes a day after Yemen's Saudi-led coalition said that it had intercepted two ballistic missiles and two drones launched by the Houthis towards the kingdom.
Iran has struck US allies in the Gulf with drones and missiles while its Houthi allies in Yemen have targeted Saudi interests.
However, it is unclear whether the announcement on online classes is directly associated with the ongoing geopolitical tensions in the region.
