‘Putin won’t meet Zelenskyy until…’: Lavrov drops bombshell on Russia-Ukraine peace deal talks

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that President Vladimir Putin is prepared to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, but only once all major issues are worked out in advance. Lavrov questioned whether Zelenskiy has the authority to sign a peace deal, adding that experts and ministers must prepare recommendations first. The comments come after Trump and Putin met in Alaska for their first summit in more than four years, where they discussed ending the war in Ukraine.
