At the tender age of six, Alexander was struck by polio, rendering him paralyzed from the neck down. For seven decades, he resided within the confines of a 600-pound iron lung, reliant on its mechanical aid for every breath.
His passing was confirmed via his GoFundMe page, where Christopher Ulmer, reflecting on Alexander's life, hailed him as an "incredible role model." In gratitude, Philip, his brother, expressed, "I am so grateful to everybody who donated to my brother's fundraiser. It allowed him to live his last few years stress-free."

Born in 1946, Alexander encountered myriad obstacles, navigating through one of the most severe polio outbreaks in US history, which afflicted nearly 58,000 individuals, predominantly children.
