The three museum houses, located in central Chile, were closed for 17 months due to the pandemic. They reopened last September after health measures loosened, aided by a strong vaccination campaign.

One of the greatest
Neruda, one of the most influential and widely read 20th-century poets of the Americas, received the Nobel Literature in 1971. He died in 1973 and it is on a plot in one of these museums, the Casa de Isla Negra, that the poet was buried.
