The trilateral meeting will be held on December 27 and peace in Afghanistan will be on the top of the agenda due to increasing threat of ISIS to Central Asia.

Pakistan to attend meet with Russia and China
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday said its foreign secretary will travel to Russia to participate in a trilateral meeting with Russia and China next week which will discuss key regional issues including peace process in Afghanistan. “The Foreign Secretary will lead the Pakistani delegation in this meeting.

This is an existing forum for undertaking informal discussions on issues of regional peace and stability, including situation in Afghanistan,” Foreign Office spokesman Nafees Zakaria said at the weekly press briefing here.

The trilateral meeting will be held on December 27 and peace in Afghanistan will be on the top of the agenda due to increasing threat of ISIS to Central Asia, which is considered as Russian backyard. There are also reports of contacts between Taliban and Russian officials.
