Pakistan Mirage fighter jet crashes
ISLAMABAD: A French-made Mirage fighter jet of Pakistan Air Force today crashed during a routine training flight in the restive south-western Balochistan province province.

The jet went down near Somniani Spaceport. "Pakistan Air Force reports with regret that a Mirage Aircraft, while on a routine operational training mission, crashed near Somniani," the PAF said in statement.

The pilot of the aircraft ejected safely. No loss of civilian life and property has been reported on ground.

A board of inquiry has been ordered by Air Headquarters to determine the cause of accident.

The immediate cause of the crash was not known but it appears to be due to some technical fault, media report said.
