ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's ministry of foreign affairs today held a candle-light vigil for the victims of the brazen terrorist attack at an army-run school in Peshawar that killed 141 people, mostly children.

At least 132 students and nine staffers were killed yesterday when Taliban suicide attackers wearing para-military Frontier Corps uniforms stormed the Army Public School on Warsak Road and started indiscriminate firing on them.

To express solidarity with the victims of Peshawar terrorist attack, the officers and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and their families organised a commemorative event at the Ministry, Foreign Office said in a statement here.

"Dua (prayer) was followed by a candle light vigil on the Constitution Avenue. Members of the Diplomatic community in Islamabad participated in the event in large numbers," it said.

Pakistan is observing a three-day mourning for the victims of the worst terror attack in its history.
