Pakistan forces end police station siege; unknown casualties, says Defence Minister

Pakistan special forces on Tuesday stormed a police station taken over by prisoners held for being suspected Taliban members, leaving an unknown number of casualties, the defence minister said.

"The operation has successfully been completed," Khawaja Muhammad Asif told reporters, adding some hostages had "lost their lives".
