Singh in a video, which is being widely circulated on the social media, is seen complaining over the behaviour being meted out to him and his family by the officials. In the footage he alleged that he was thrashed, his turban was tossed and hair were untied, while he along with his wife and children were forced out of the house.

The concerned officials have done this to please a few people. They have specifically targeted me. You must have noticed that there is no turban on my head. They unravelled my turban and opened my hair", he said.
